Former Huron Executive Malcolm White Joins Apogee

March 13, 2018

Austin, TX – March 13, 2018 – Apogee, higher education’s largest provider of managed technology services, has named Malcolm White as Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Apogee, Mr. White spent nine years as Director of Business Development at Huron Consulting’s Higher Education’s Division. White is uniquely qualified for this role, bringing with him over 30 years of sales, sales management, change management and client services experience for the corporate and consultancy sectors.  A well-known and respected thought leader, White’s experience collaborating with university leaders will be invaluable as Apogee continues to expand its services to meet the growing needs of the higher education community.

As Vice President of Business Development, White will work with the executive leadership team at Apogee and report to Executive Vice President Matt Loecke. He will focus on collaborating with university leaders on how to best harness technology to achieve their strategic plans.

In his singular, national role at Huron Consulting Group (higher education’s largest consultancy), White served higher education institutions in the areas of strategy development, financial and operational improvement, research administration and technology. During his nine years, he assisted executives at thirty-two universities to develop, manage and execute the change needed to help them achieve their strategic plans.

Prior to Huron, White was a Strategic Relationship Manager with Deloitte for five years where he played a strategic role in the business development process for Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk Services, Financial Advisory Services, and Tax functions.

White holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He currently serves on numerous committees and boards, including The Family Foundation Fund, Northeast Independent School District (San Antonio, TX.) Mentor Program and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

“Higher education’s technology challenges are becoming far more expensive and complicated for CFOs,” said Loecke. “Malcolm’s expertise and reputation in driving transformational client strategies will allow CFOs to engage Apogee as a resource for change management and technology. And his experience in bringing value to clients by learning their unique environments, understanding their needs and organizing resources best suited to serve them will help our university partners foster environments in which new ideas flourish through managed technology.”
