Austin, TX – September 8, 2021 – Higher education managed technology services leader Apogee today announced the appointment of Scott Drossos as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in a leadership transition aimed at taking the company to the next level of innovation and growth. A higher education and managed IT services veteran executive, Drossos brings to Apogee an exceptional track record leading and implementing impactful growth strategies at successful education and technology services businesses. As CEO, he will drive the company’s growth strategies – including product solutions, operations, sales and marketing, and people and culture – to solidify its position as higher education’s digital transformation leader, helping colleges and universities innovate and solve their most pressing challenges through technology. After two decades as CEO, Apogee Founder Charles “Chuck” Brady will transition to Chairman.

“Our entire Apogee team is thrilled to have Scott assume the CEO role. He is a proven leader who takes companies to new heights through his industry expertise, innovative mindset, and a deep understanding of enhancing the customer experience,” said Brady. “As higher education undergoes an unprecedented period of transformation, Scott’s appointment will strengthen our ability to make impactful change for our institutional partners and help them stay ahead of new challenges. We look forward to Scott leading Apogee into an exciting new era – one that will be the most rewarding yet.”

Drossos brings decades of experience in higher education and IT services. He joins Apogee from InterVision Systems, a strategic IT service provider, where he served as Chief Operating Officer after leading a successful merger between InterVision and his previous firm where he served as President, Infiniti Consulting Group. As President of Infiniti, Drossos led the company through exponential growth and transformed it into a prolific cloud services provider. Previously, he spent five years at Pearson, five years at Edison Learning, and two years at McGraw Hill.

“I’m excited to return to higher education, which is at a seminal juncture. While higher ed’s challenges have multiplied with the pandemic, so have the opportunities for our university partners to seize this moment to increase enrollment, affordability, and accessibility,” said Drossos. “I’m very much looking forward to bringing Apogee to the next level of superior managed services delivery as we work with clients to enhance their technology preparedness to improve the student, faculty, and staff experience.”

“Chuck has built a phenomenal managed technology services company, with a world-class team, culture, and solutions that touch more than one million students and administrators every day at more than 400 colleges and universities,” Drossos continued. “Apogee has a long runway of continued growth. With connectivity and technology demands on college campuses intensifying, I’ll evangelize and implement Apogee’s mission to deliver the infrastructure and value-added technology services necessary for higher ed to transform in the new normal and beyond.”

The transition marks the end of Brady’s 23-year tenure as Apogee CEO. In his new role, Brady will step away from daily operations of the business and set agendas for the board to identify strategic opportunities and key approaches for growth. He will continue to champion the company’s vision and partner with senior leadership on the Apogee customer experience, corporate culture, and strategic direction. Brady remains the primary owner of Apogee, with no sale or transfer of equity to any party.

“I founded Apogee in 1998 at the age of 21,” said Brady. “I’ve been fortunate to have the ability to see what’s next and motivate brilliant people to join our cause. The executive team at Apogee is second to none. Together, we’ve built a well-oiled machine that established Apogee as the go-to managed technology services higher ed partner with an impressive 99 percent client retention rate.
