Celebrating Global MSP Day

May 20, 2022

By Scott Drossos

As a leading managed services provider for nearly 400 colleges and universities in the United States, Apogee is proud to support Global MSP Day 2022 today, May 20, a day that elevates the important role that MSPs play in helping clients let go of operational pain to free up time and resources for strategic priorities and that also encourages collaboration among MSPs to share insights and best practices.

For more than 20 years, our mission has been to provide unparalleled managed technology services that enable colleges and universities to enrich the campus experience and foster student vitality. We started out providing world-class residential networks, then added cable TV and streaming services to deliver like-home rich media experiences in residence halls, and then we rapidly expanded into managed campus network services and digital signage and student engagement solutions for the entire campus.

We’ve expanded to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of managed IT services built on our unique operational and technical expertise at scale, and we are relentlessly committed to innovation and evolving our offerings to deliver ever greater value to campus leaders, students, faculty, and staff.

In the race to attract, enroll, and retain students, technology is a differentiator. But with limited budgets and expertise, higher ed leaders find that the path to taming the flood of projects is unclear. A smart approach is needed – a paradigm shift in thinking that embraces managed technology services. MSPs challenge customers to let go of the status quo to partner with a highly trained team of experts that augments in-house capabilities and eliminates operational headaches in a sustainable funding model. At Apogee, we ask our clients to imagine a world where they unlock time to innovate and are free to focus on priorities without distraction because their systems are future-proofed and maintained, incidents are resolved as rapidly as they arise, and student complaints vanish – and then we deliver on that vision.

Today, on Global MSP Day, I am honored to share some highlights from our annual Customer Experience Survey that we concluded on April 25. I am thrilled to report the positive scores and feedback that Apogee received from our customers:

  • Net Promoter Score: 71. Net Promoter Score measures the likelihood of customers to recommend Apogee to others. The average NPS score for managed services providers is 18, according to 2020 data from Datto. We are delighted to have garnered an NPS above 70, which is the score considered to be World Class. I cannot thank our customers and our dedicated Apogee employees enough.
  • Customer Satisfaction Rating: 98 percent. Almost all Apogee customers indicated that they were Very Satisfied to Completely Satisfied with the services provided by Apogee. Again, delivering value and exceeding clients’ expectations is what every single team member at Apogee strives for every single day.
  • Likelihood to Renew Rating: 90 percent. Nine out of ten customers surveyed said that they are likely to renew their services with Apogee, indicating that we treat every customer relationship as a partnership and regularly communicate about the value we provide through regular reporting and stewardship.
