Mike Rose

Biography

Mike has over 16 years of experience managing and administrating Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in higher education. His higher education career began in 2007 at the Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD) after working in the private sector as a software engineer and technology manager. During his tenure at VCCCD, Mike distinguished himself and the district as a leader in ERP development and management, becoming a regular presenter at local and national conferences and chairing regional user groups. After successfully migrating the Banner ERP system to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud in 2018, Mike founded Cumulus Technologies, Inc. along with his long-time colleague Dave Fuhrmann. While at Cumulus, Mike led migration teams assisting numerous colleges and universities to architect and move their Banner ERP systems to public cloud providers like AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Joining Apogee in 2022 as vice president of cloud services and application development, Mike continues to lead ERP cloud migrations and assist colleges in modernizing their IT operations to help them reach their objectives. Mike is a graduate of California State University – Monterey Bay and lives in Ventura, Calif.
